1944 & 1945 Monthly History Reports

Phyllis and Frank Sossi, Jr., found the following copies of the official 111th monthly history reports in an old trunk containing Frank Sossi’s mementos of WWII. We had given up looking for  monthly reports, after checking several military archives. These are a real treasure and give detail that supplements the memoirs of Roland Unangst and Perry Witt, also on this site.

Frank Sossi was the company clerk during the unit’s time in Europe, from January 1944 to the end of the war in May 1945, and apparently held on to the copies. They seem to be carbons, so we apologize for the blurriness–it was the best we could do. Many thanks to Phyllis and Frank. Jr., for sharing!
